Life Stuff

What do you do at Redefine:

On-page, content, media, AI cowboy (Marketing Specialist)

Favorite thing about your job:

I really love the work environment at Redefine. Everyone in the office seems to have a great work-life balance but are all still dedicated hard work. The office is always a good time and it’s fun to collaborate with the team on whatever issues are facing us.

What was your first job:

I worked at a car mechanic shop and a t-shirt screen printing shop before I turned 16. But my first official job was as a box person at Stater Bros Grocery Store. I worked there through COVID, which was a crazy experience. I was on the front lines of grocery shopping mayhem.

In elementary school, what did you want to be when you grew up:

I wanted to work for LEGO and be a set designer.

What is your earliest memory:

I’m pretty sure it was going to see Cars in theaters or maybe playing with our Corgi Ceaser in our backyard.

What’s your favorite family tradition:

Every family birthday, we have breakfast together, and my mom will make that person’s favorite breakfast. It was always a special time. I have 4 little sisters, so we had 7 birthdays a year in my parent’s house.

What is a fun or interesting thing about your hometown:

I grew up in Upland, CA. There’s not anything super special about it, but there are a lot of parts of it that are special to me. On the hill behind my house, there was a storm drain that went under the main street and under the golf course. When we were around 14, my friends and I would ride our bikes through there to get around the city.

Food Stuff

What is your favorite cereal:

Cinnamon toast crunch. It’s just the best one.

How do you like your eggs:

I love eggs in all different ways, depending on the situation. My favorite way to have eggs is over medium in a well-crafted breakfast sandwich with bacon on a bagel. If it’s 2 am at a Dennys, I am going to get scrambled eggs for sure, and if I am running late somewhere, I always keep boiled eggs in my fridge to eat before running out the door. Lastly, FRIED EGG ON A BURGER, you haven’t lived until you’ve had a perfect burger with an egg inside.

My favorite food is eggs benedict. “The Filling Station” in Orange County has some of the best eggs benedict I’ve had (besides my moms)

What is your go-to Starbucks order:

Water… Starbucks isn’t great.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be:

Bagels, definitely bagels.

Favorite Stuff

Favorite band/musician:

I wish I had an answer, but I listen to podcasts way more than music and usually end up disliking music I liked a year or 2 prior.

Favorite movie:

LALA LAND. I am always shocked by the emotions this movie can make me feel. I have watched it at different points in my life, and it always teaches me something new about life, relationships, passion, dreams and choices.

Favorite actor/actress:

Actor: Johnny Depp

Actress: Anne Hathway

They both just rock: Pirates of the Caribbean, Princess Diaries, The Dark Knight Rises, Finding Neverland, need I say more.

Favorite sports team:

Don’t have one, never really watch sports.

Favorite TV show:

1. Better Call Saul
2. Breaking Bad
3. Ted Lasso

4. The Bear

Favorite superpower:

Anything related to Spiderman.

Favorite social media network:

YouTube has been, by far, the most influential media network in my life. I love YouTube, you can learn, research, listen, be entertained etc. YouTube also doesn’t seem to have the same addictive or productivity-destroying effects as other social media does.

Top three favorite apps:

Spotify (For Podcasts)

The Camera (For Memories)

The Chick-fil-A app. There’s no better feeling than seeing a notification that says, “We have a gift for you,” and knowing you just got a free sandwich.

Hobby & Travel Stuff

What are your hobbies:

The gym, rock climbing, hiking and camping are all of my favorite hobbies. Now that I graduated college, I am planning to write more for fun and personal enjoyment.

What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time:

I watch a lot of video essays about movies. I especially enjoy watching behind-the-scenes DVDs, like those for “The Lord of the Rings,” or documentaries like “The Making of The Phantom Menace.” Film making, production design, and writing make me nerd out.

Can you play any instruments:

I’ve been playing guitar since I was 13 and even taught beginner guitar at a few different art studios.

Do you collect anything:

Not really, I consider myself somewhat of a minimalist. However, I do have a few watches I enjoy and I want to get more someday.

What are the last three books you read:

The Generation Myth (Bobby Duffy)

The Coddling of the American Mind (Greg Lukianoff and Jonathan Haidt)

American Prometheus (Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin)

Most recent vacation:

I went to Joshua Tree for my friend’s wedding. We stayed at an awesome Airbnb and did a lot of stargazing.

What’s your favorite city/state/country you’ve ever visited (can be 1 place, or 1 city, 1 state, and 1 country):

I really love Texas, I have been to all the major cities and done a few different road trips across that giant state. People are nice, the food is good, the cities are clean and there’s always some good BBQ around.

Random Stuff

If you could have dinner with one person, alive or dead, who would it be:

I would have to say, my great-grandpa. He traveled all over the world, was a writer, artist, and wood craftsman and just seemed like a cool guy. I never met him, but I have read many of his journals, books, and scrapbooks from his travels. I would love to have dinner with him if I could.

At which store would you like to max out your credit card:

Maxing out a credit card is irresponsible, as revolving utilization is one of the main factors contributing to your credit score. According to Experian, “Revolving credit utilization is an important scoring factor that could affect around 20% to 30% of your credit score, depending on the scoring model.”

Ideally, you would never max out a card and keep a healthy utilization rate of less than 30%.

Do you have any strange phobias:

I am definitely claustrophobic; don’t put me in a tiny space.

Have you ever met anyone famous:

No, never met anyone famous before.

If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be:

I would want to be a really good day trader, stocks are cool but day trading is definitely a skill that needs to be mastered.

If you could choose one age to be forever, what would it be:

I am currently only 21 so I feel like I need to experience being some different ages before I can answer that accurately.

What characteristic do you like most about yourself:

I love learning. I am really glad that I have a lot of natural curiosity and am always asking, “Why?”

Have you had your 15 minutes of fame yet:

Nope, not yet, but with a few more #1 blog rankings, the fame might start to get to me (Sarcasm)
